Coarse Fishing
One of the most popular branches of fishing in the South West is carp fishing. If you fancy tangling with bigger fish, then you can target them with a variety of methods, from pellet wagglers to surface feeding, fly, leger, pole tackle or even zig rigs. If you haven't tried it before, then carp fishing can be really good fun and a guided trip after them can give you the benefit of years of experience plus resources to help you succeed in the future. I will not only teach you the rudiments of tackle, knots, baits and casting but will also help you to identify the next steps in your learning journey. Like the father and daughter opposite, you could have a great deal of fun in the process!
Some people like to stay on Devon or Cornwall campsites which have fishing lakes. If that is the case, I don't mind travelling to show you how to have some fun with the fish that are stocked. Often they can provide some superb sport, especially at the start of the season.
The young angler on the right, for example, had a great deal of fun with carp on the pole. Even though he was only just seven, he had three approaching double figures and a number of smaller fish.
As well as individuals, I can cater for parties of anglers although you will need to let me know your requirements in plenty of time to ensure that we can book a suitable water.
NB: If I am travelling to you, then the first forty miles is included in my fee. After that travel is charged at 25 pence per mile.
